Fine Vintage Level 1 in Cannabis
A one-day course designed for those studying cannabis for the first time.
Whether you are working in the industry or simply looking to improve your general knowledge of cannabis, this is the perfect place to start your education and certification. There are no prerequisites. By the end of the course, you’ll know the basics of growing cannabis, the different strains and active ingredients, methods of consumption and dosing, and the history and current regulations. This course will give you the knowledge and skills to discuss and purchase cannabis with confidence.
Course Format
1 full day course | from 9.30 a.m. until 5.30 p.m.
Course Overview
By the end of this one-day introductory course, you will:
- Know the history of cannabis and the current regulations
- Understand the biology of the cannabis plant
- Understand the differences between cannabis strains
- Know how to grow, harvest, and cure cannabis
- Be familiar with the effects of cannabis and its active ingredients
- Know the methods of consumption and dosing
Payments
TERMS: Full payment is charged at the time of registration. Your payment is non-refundable but you can transfer it once to another person or to a future course of the same type, if you contact us 14 days or more before the start date. In the rare event Fine Vintage has to cancel a course, you will receive a 100% refund.
Sampling & Instruction
At the course, we will have physical samples of different cannabis strains and product types for inspection. However, cannabis consumption is not permitted on-site. We will provide tips and recommendations on products you can enjoy later on your own.
Our engaging and passionate instructor, Melissa Jane Stapley, is a highly qualified cannabis expert who is happy to answer all your questions. It’s fun, relaxed and you can sit back and enjoy the day.
Certification
At the end of the day, starting at 4:45pm, there is a 40 question closed-book multiple-choice exam. Students are required to achieve a grade of 70% to pass. Upon successful completion, you will receive a Level 1 Award in Cannabis certificate from Fine Vintage.

Your classmates will include fun-loving enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds as well as people working in the industry. This is an introductory course and we presume no prior knowledge. Our instructors are happy to answer questions throughout the day.

Immediately upon registration, we will email you a link to the online study guide which takes about 30-45 minutes to read. It is advantageous to read it before the course, although not essential.
