VENICE WINE TOURS
A Luxury Journey through the Vineyards, Cuisine, History and Lakes of Veneto, from Venice and Beyond
AMARONE, VALPOLICELLA, SOAVE, PROSECCO, LAKE GARDA, AND VENICE
Few places are quite as captivating as the wine country around Venice. The region’s most powerful and seductive wine—Amarone—shares the stage with Valpolicella, Soave and Prosecco. But Veneto, as the region is formally known, offers so much more: shimmering Lake Garda, romantic medieval towns, beautiful villas, ancient castles and, of course, Venice itself, a city of extraordinary presence and my favorite in all of Italy.
Over five days, we’ll explore this remarkable corner of Italia, beginning in Venice and travelling through the rolling hills of Valpolicella, the historic heart of Verona, the shores of Lake Garda and, finally, the spectacular hillside vineyards of Valdobbiadene, home to some of the finest expressions of Prosecco.
Along the way, you’ll visit some of the region’s leading producers, as well as some of my favorite hidden gems, and discover the people, traditions and landscapes that have shaped Veneto’s wines.
But this journey through Veneto goes well beyond the vineyards and wineries. We will dine at two Michelin-starred restaurants and savor some wonderfully unfussy and genuinely delicious meals along the way. We will immerse ourselves in centuries of history, take a private boat tour on Lake Garda and enjoy time in Sirmione—one of Veneto’s most enchanting villages—where we can savor the beauty, elegance and leisurely pleasures of the Italian Lakes.
There will be plenty of time to slow down, take it all in and, of course, enjoy plenty of fabulous wine along the way. I think you’re going to love it as much as I do.
I invite you to join us.
