Fine Vintage is the leading provider of wine education in North America. We offer the WSET courses, which are professional qualifications in wine with international recognition. If you want to learn about wine, for business or pleasure, then these internationally recognized wine courses are perfect.

The Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) was established in London in 1969 and currently offers their prestigious wine courses in over 60 countries and 18 languages. The UK-based WSET courses are considered to be the gold standard in wine education and Fine Vintage is the Harvard of wine school organizations.

We also offer our own certification courses including the industry benchmark Fine Vintage Canadian Wine Scholar and Sommelier Certification programs, as well as the French Wine Scholar, Sensory Masterclasses and a course on The Business of Wine.

Why take a wine course from Fine Vintage? We won The Riedel Trophy for WSET Educator of the Year in 2012 against a field of over 550 schools worldwide. This is the most prestigious award for any wine school organization. Our courses are run at respected Universities and Colleges, our instructors are collectively the most qualified in the industry, and we are well known for the high quality of the wines we show in the tastings. We strive to maintain and enhance our reputation as the leading wine school organization in North America and welcome over 4,500 students per year.

What about the WSET exam? At the end of each WSET wine course there is an exam. Upon successful completion you will be sent a Certificate from the WSET in the UK which represents a formal qualification in wine. We will prepare you for these exams and have a very high pass rate. Level 1 is 98%, Level 2 is 97%, and the Level 3 is 85%. Upon completion of the WSET Advanced students can use the title "WSET Certified". Our own Fine Vintage certification course exams work in much the same way.

Note: If you require special accommodations for your exam session and have a documented report of your disability, it is crucial that you contact us within the specified time frame. We require a minimum of 25 business days for Levels 1-3 and a minimum of 45 business days for Level 4.

Who takes our courses? Our wine courses are appropriate for general interest wine enthusiasts as well as the trade. At least 50% of all people are taking the courses for general interest.

Pricing & Schedule: As a result of operational efficiency we are able to offer our courses at extremely competitive prices. We spend almost twice as much as most other schools on wine, and employ the best instructors available who are entertaining and passionate about sharing their love and knowledge of wine. Classes fill fast and can book up many weeks in advance.

Payments? When you register online, your credit card is charged a $100 deposit. The remaining payment for all fees will be automatically processed in full 3 weeks prior to the course start date on the credit card you provided. The full course tuition is 100% non-refundable from the date you register but is transferable as a credit towards another course, or to another person, once. This request must be emailed to us three weeks prior to the start of the 1st class, no exceptions, otherwise you will forfeit your full payment.
