David has been with Fine Vintage since 2012 and came to us with fifteen years of experience as an educator. He has studied at the Master of Wine level, helped build wineries and create brands, and visited the vast majority of the world’s wine regions. He is one of the leading educators in Canada.

After living in Japan and New Zealand for eight years working in restaurants, retail, and wineries, David returned to Canada in 2005 to pursue his WSET studies.

He went on to complete the Level 4 Diploma and was accepted into the Masters of Wine programme in 2014. His travels have taken him throughout South America, Australia, South Africa, North America, and a number of European wine regions. He has also taught at our WSET schools in several cities and even lived in Qatar and China teaching about wine.

His contagious enthusiasm and entertaining sense of humour makes learning fun. He always gets some of our best exam results and reviews.

Lynn Coulthard is the leading wine educator in B.C. with more experience and a greater breadth of qualifications than any other local wine expert. But most of all, Lynn makes wine fun and entertaining, exuding a passion when she teaches. She has done this with Fine Vintage for 15 years.

Lynn holds the prestigious WSET Diploma, is a certified Sommelier and has qualified as a Spanish Wine Educator through the Wine Academy of Spain. With the study of spirits being a secondary passion, she went on to achieve her Certified Spirits Specialist and is the Whisky Ambassador tutor for Western Canada.

She is currently the Head Wine & Spirit Buyer for JAK’S Beer, Wine and Spirits, the largest privately-owned retail chain in British Columbia. Her background encompasses over 20 years of working in the hospitality and wine retail industry including over 6 years of Food and Beverage Management with Four Seasons Hotels, three years as Wine Director for both Cin Cin and West restaurants, and she spent a decade managing with Liberty Wine Merchants.

Lynn is mad about wine and exudes passion when she teaches. Her laid-back and entertaining style is always a big hit. She has traveled extensively, spending time in several wine regions such as Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Germany and the Americas. She has also run courses for the Canadian government's BCLDB, Fairmont Hotels and Qatar Airways in the Middle East.

Chris is a WSET Diploma graduate and a Certified Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers. He is the Director of Sales for a Vancouver-based boutique wine agency handling some of the world’s very finest wines.

With over 20 years in the restaurant industry and wine sales, Chris has visited many of the great wine regions around the world. He lived in Bordeaux for an extended period.

Chris is an engaging instructor with a passion to share his experienced and knowledge with others. His laid-back style and sense of humour create a relaxed learning environment for students. Chris makes wine fun, exactly what it should be.
