There are many great wine producing countries in the world, but France remains the benchmark. Champagne, Burgundy, Bordeaux, Rhone, Loire and more. All serious wine lovers should know the classics.
This 2 day certification course was created by James Cluer, Master of Wine. Students who pass the 50 question multiple-choice exam will earn the French Wine Professional (FWP) post-nominal. There are no pre-requisites. It is open to anyone with an interest in learning about the great wines of France, and you’ll taste dozens of them.

TASTINGS & INSTRUCTION
During the 2 day course you will taste over 30 benchmark examples of wines from the leading producers in a wide variety of regions. We pride ourselves on showing classic wines.
Our instructors have spent considerable time touring the great regions of France and are experts in the field. Our extensive study guide is updated annually and is an extremely useful summary of a complex wine country.
CERTIFICATION
At the end of the 2nd day there is a 50 question closed-book multiple-choice exam. We have a 85% pass rate and prepare you well for the exam. Upon successful completion you will receive a beautiful Fine Vintage certificate. This is highly regarded by employers.

As soon as you register we email you a PDF study guide that is over 50 pages. It’s fascinating, and you can read it prior to the course. We also send you a Key Facts document. Hard copies are given out at the course.
TASTING GLASSES
If you have taken a course with us before then please bring your Fine Vintage tasting glasses with you.
If you do not have our set of 6 tasting glasses you will need to purchase them at registration for $49. These are then yours to keep forever.
