It’s a thrill to learn how to taste and describe fine wines. You will taste 14 classic wines during the day. We explain how wine is made, take you on a world tour of the major regions and their signature grape varieties, and teach the art of food and wine pairing. This will dramatically increase your confidence when selecting wines, serving, and pairing them.
The course runs from 9.30 a.m. until 5.30 p.m. with one hour free for lunch. You will be taught by one of the leading wine experts in North America. There are no prerequisites. We welcome all wine lovers. When you register you will automatically receive the study guide by e-book so you can start right away.
For the WSET exam, you can schedule your 30 question multiple choice test anytime that suits you after the end of the course. Even better, you will take it Online by remote invigilation. Upon successful completion you will receive your digital WSET certificate within 2-3 weeks. We have a 98% pass rate.

Tastings & Instruction

Exam & Certification
The WSET Level 1 exam is taken ONLINE by remote invigilation. We provide extensive instructions on how to organize your device to sit the exam.
You can schedule your exam at the time of registration to take place just after the course, or you can schedule it after the course to take place anytime up until one year from the end date of the in-person course. This allows you to take the exam when you feel confident and ready. You will receive instructions on how to schedule your exam when you register.
At Fine Vintage we have a 98% pass rate because we prepare you very well for the exam. If necessary, you can re-sit the exam as many times as necessary for a $125 re-sit fee per time.

We do welcome many people from the wine industry, especially those working in restaurants, retail and distribution. This is an introductory course and we presume no prior knowledge, but we do cater to the more advanced too. Our instructors are happy to answer questions throughout the day.

Study Guide
Immediately upon registration we will email you an access code to the online study guide which takes about one hour to read. It is advantageous to read it before the course, although not essential. You will also receive by email a list of 100 proprietary practice exam questions to help you thoroughly prepare. And don’t stress about the exam as we have a 98% pass rate.
