ABOUT THE TOUR & REGION
THE ICONIC WINERIES OF CHILE
We’ve meticulously crafted our Chilean wine tour for discerning travellers who crave exclusive access to renowned wineries, private tastings, and meals you’ll go home raving about. These are experiences you simply can’t get on your own.
We’ll meet at The Ritz hotel, your new home, in the upscale neighbourhood of El Golf in Santiago. We’ll be based here for the next 3 nights as we explore the surrounding regions by comfortable coach. We’ll travel to the charming countryside of Santa Cruz for the following 2 nights. Expect leisurely visits to the most famous, and prized Colchagua and Maipo Valleys.
With a welcome reception, lavish winery lunches each day, two dinners, and one free night, you’ll enjoy the camaraderie amongst fellow wine-lovers while also having time to yourself.
CASABLANCA & SAN ANTONIO VALLEYS
The program will start the night before with an in-depth overview of Chilean wines by your host. The next day will be dedicated to exploring Chile’s top cool-climate regions. You’ll visit Casa Marin for examples of Chile’s best coastal white wines before sitting down to a perfectly paired lunch. The day will come to a close at Kingston Vineyards with a tasting and dinner that will take your breath away. Looking out at the majestic Casablanca Valley vineyards while the sun sets is simply a joy.
CACHAPOAL ANDES
Travelling south, and bidding Santiago goodbye, we’ll make our way to the land of high-elevation vineyards and structured, elegant Bordeaux-style blends. At Altair, you’ll have stunning views on a private tour complete with a traditional Chilean lunch. After checking into the countryside hotel, we will salute the sunset in Apalta with a memorable tasting of the iconic wines of Montes.
COLCHAGUA VALLEY
Today is devoted to a truly exclusive experience at one of the most revered estates: Clos Apalta by Lapostolle. A private tour of the vineyard and cellar will be followed by a tasting of the iconic wines. We will then be spoiled to an intimate lunch hosted by the winemaker, served with panoramic views over the estate’s rolling hills and century-old vines. In the afternoon, enjoy some leisure time to stroll Santa Cruz’s charming streets and explore the local culture. As sun sets, we gather for our farewell dinner under the stars in the breathtaking Ninquen vineyard, hosted by Benjamin Leiva, winemaker at a hidden gem in Colchagua, Montgras.
LOS LINGUES
We couldn’t leave Colchagua without discovering its Andean side. In the high-altitude sub-region of Los Lingues, we’ll enjoy a special tasting at Koyle, one of South America’s leading biodynamic estates. It’s a charming farewell to the diversity and beauty of Colchagua.
